Seabear in concert
Island/Sound Architectures
add to [my planner]

We are in Iceland, and one mild and lazy winter morning Seabear seem to lead us into a world of folk-rock mixed with the pleasant strains of soft pop.  The music conjures up endless tracts of green and a sun that rises gently above the horizon, dispersing the early-morning mist and ushering out the darkness. The myriad crystals, which form a mantle of snow covering the landscape, begin to glint and melt, and drops of water fall from the roofs and rocks.  Soon the air turns crisper than ever, sunnier but not hot; it sparkles, stirring your chilled limbs back to life with its understated warmth. Inspired by masters such as Bob Dylan and Neil Young, Seabear create delicate, bright-hued watercolours with unimpeded brushwork, conveying a sense of joy that is not an explosion of happiness, but the consoling peace of the senses.

Seabear is the banner beneath which the young Icelandic singer-songwriter Sindri Már Sigfússon has united a selection of musician friends, many of whom feature regularly on the credits of bands such as Sigur Rós, Mùm and Benni Hemm Hemm.
