Tullio Gregory
Tullio Gregory former Professor of the History of Philosophy at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", member of the Accademia dei Lincei, founder of the European Intellectual Lexicon and the History of Ideas of Italy's NRC. Editor of the Italian Encyclopaedia of Sciences, Letters and Arts (Treccani), published by the Italian Encyclopaedia Institute, on whose advisory board he sits.  An expert on the twilight phases of European philosophical, scientific and theological thought from the Middle Ages to the XVII century, he has elucidated the cultural context and value of Italian cooking. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo. His main publications are: Mundana Sapientia (Roma 1992); Gènese de la raison classique (Paris 2000); Origini della terminologia filosofica moderna (Firenze 2006); Speculum naturale. Percorsi del pensiero medievale (Roma 2007).
